Kings Of Rap
I posted earlier about the first rap tape I ever got, Power Rap from 1986. I knew I had another tape from around that time, that I could not ever remember the name of. Well today I found it. Kings Of Rap from 1985.
The Fat Boys’ “Can You Feel It” and Whodini’s “Five Minutes Of Funk” left the biggest impression on me with their futuristic vibes, but Shawn Brown’s “Rappin’ Duke” was a classic, if not only for the fact that somewhere there is a video of my dad lip-syncing to it after hearing me play it so much.
