I knew I had another tape from around that time, that I could not ever remember the name of. Well today I found it. Kings Of Rap from 1985.

The Fat Boys’ “Can You Feel It” and Whodini’s “Five Minutes Of Funk” left the biggest impression on me with their futuristic vibes, but Shawn Brown’s “Rappin’ Duke” was a classic, if not only for the fact that somewhere there is a video of my dad lip-syncing to it after hearing me play it so much.

When I left, it was a sunny day in SF so I called up Boreta. He said that the Glitch Mob was about to do a guerilla show outside the Apple store downtown. I jumped on BART and when I got downtown this was going on. It turned out to be a hilarious day, and this video captures it perfectly.
